Clubhouse

A 14-foot expansion of the deck on the driving range side of the Champion Lakes Golf Course clubhouse is underway. Originally the expansion was to be to the east side of the building but was nixed by the building inspector as it would be too close to the creek. The original plan also called for the deck to have a roof but because of building code issues, costs escalated to a point where the roof had to be put on hold. The roof will be added as soon as funds are available.
The club received a $20,500 grant from the Columbia Basin Trust this spring and the work that is to be completed by the end of the year is expected to be within the $20,500 budget.
Maglio Building Centre of Trail has agreed to participate as a sponsoring partner and will be overseeing the construction.

Eagle's Nest Restaurant operator Brian Moisey is excited about the expansion as it will give her more flexibility when serving large groups.
